Would it be possible to see some more previews on the new skills for the races/classes?

I'll look at what we have up and see if I can't find another interesting race/class to post. I warn you, that Drew will be responsible for flavor text, so future posts probably won't have nifty flavorfulness until the actual coding gets underway.

I think the update will really throw a wrench in peoples current plans for toons. BUT I like it, shall be very interesting. Now, another way to help bring 2handers back into peoples lives...2H weapon Dmg Bonus skills!!!!! I would say put these on the "larger" class/races like a Giant or a Dwarf. Otherwise Great work.

hmm.. I smeLL the mainstream skiLL caLLed '2 Handed Sword MAstery'.
Its gonna be nice knowing that youre gonna be rewarded fer taking the road LEss traveLLed.

However, in those games where I see such skiLLs, they aLso have:
1 Handed, Bow, Wand/Staves/Arcanum, Dagger .. ETC Mastery. Meaning, using the right / recommended weapons on a specific race/ cLass wiLL give a Lot of benefits as compared to using,Lets say, a bLaded weapon as a cLeric (which is a big NO-NO in the worLd of cLergymen fighters.)

This way, its gonna be more chaLLenging trying to beef up a toon even with just Looking fer the right bits and pieces of what u need. :)

I really hope you allow each character to change class / race one time after these changes. We've all worked fairly hard to get our characters where they are and it'd be a shame if people had to start over again just to change to a newer, effective combination under the new system.

I definitely agree with Poergh, it would completely suck if we all had to start all over again due to changes of skills and stuff. People have spent a lt of time getting their toons where they work well, and if the update makes them fail, then they should be able to change once.

This update goes for ALL players, inclusive those like myself, who have spent more than a year together with DoH. And I for one welcomes this update with open, welcoming arms. ^^ Why? Think its time for a fresh start and the hunt for the best class/race/skill combo again. Will take many toons to figure out, but thats the beauty. ;) I still plan on playing DoH occasionally many years from now. Why? Due to the friends I made and the heavy investment with irl $. :P Wanna see where this game can take me! :D

I disagree whole heartedly, Brut. I think if some people spent alot of time putting their characters together, there should be an OPTION to keep your levels and change your race and/or class, and rearrange your skill and stat points. Keep the progress you made, but allow you one redo due to the changes, but keep it optional.

I for one have a very hard time making any good builds, and really, really would rather shoot my own eyes than start over Samus due to an update.

i think everything tshould be reset with chars/stats. or like said above an option if we wanna keep our set ups then a 1 time option to reset. i also agree with the mastery theme.

lol i have speculated on this from the time of whispers of new race/skills. without a doubt there will be new types of races and probably some tossed out. so some will probably have to be remade anyway. and our supergrinders are going to be garbage too... they will turn into super pvp boosters and storage toons. yeah i am sooo pumped (sarcastic) for this update. it should just about put the last nail in the coffin for me here. these folk are so busy with the next project, they havent bothered to fix all the bugs in the projects thats already being used... time will tell though, after all, we got nothing but time here right? as for the work put in for this particular project, it looks ok on paper, but its not in the real world yet.
