Intentions

Pure
Untainted by evil or doubt, pure souls are interested only in bettering the lives of their fellow men and in doing good that benefits the world. They are righteous and true.

Good
The good oppose evil, but sometimes an act of evil is necessary to do good. They understand that the world is shades of grey, but they do their best to change that, trying to always choose the lesser of two evils.

Indifferent
The indifferent see the world as a roll of the dice without meaning or reason. You live, you die. Who cares? They have no strong inclination to change the world, whether for better or for worse -- they do what suits them at the time.

Devious
The devious, while not truly wicked, have no desire to make the world a better place. They are capable of good deeds -- but only for a price -- and they are just as likely to cut the throat of the man they saved if it suits them. Their actions are driven by whatever profits them or amuses them the most... and sometimes truly terrible things amuse them greatly.

Evil
Evil souls are driven by a thirst for power and a lust for destruction. They see purity and good as the domain of the weak, those who lack the courage to take what is rightfully theirs, those who cannot stomach sublimation. They are fueled by rage and hatred of the world and all those who dwell in it.
